This week, come with us as we Live Like a Local exploring Diana’s Baths — where the hardest part is deciding which bath to cool off in! Whether a full or half day this local guide pick has something for everyone. Just a scenic 60-minute drive from Cottage Place on Squam Lake, the hike is an easy, well-maintained 0.6-mile walk on a wide gravel path, perfect for all ages and skill levels. Surrounded by towering pines and the calming sounds of the forest, the end of the trail greets you by 75 feet of cascading waterfalls, sun-warmed granite ledges, and natural pools that look like something out of a dream. Which pool would you jump into first? We found it impossible to choose! Whether you’re dipping your feet in the cool mountain water, sunbathing on the rocks, or exploring upstream to find your own quiet spot, this place has a kind of magic you just have to experience. There’s a $5 daily pass at the trailhead parking lot, which also covers other National Forest sites. Dogs are welcome — just remember to clean up after your furry friends! After soaking up the sun and falls, head back to Cottage Place to relax by the lake. The perfect end to the day? First up: a full day of family fun, all just minutes from your door! 👉 We started the day at the Squam Lake Natural Science Center—walking the trail, meeting live animals, climbing on the nature playgrounds, and learning about the world around us. A must-do for all ages! 📚 Next, we took a quick detour to Innisfree Bookshop at Mill Falls Marketplace—a local favorite for books, gifts, and a little inspiration. 🥪 Hungry?
